As the only STOTT PILATES® Licensed Training Center, we are proud to offer teacher certification for those wanting to start a new career path.
For current instructors, additional certification courses and workshops to upgrade your current training are available. We offer an extensive program of courses and workshops with various career paths to suit your needs.
Courses are taught by Tamara Hoffmann, Certified Instructor Trainer for STOTT PILATES and ballet mistress for Ballet Memphis.
Applications are available by calling the Pilates Centre at 901.753.4177 or online.
Applications must be accompanied by two letters of reference and a nonrefundable deposit. Space is limited and applications are processed on a first-come, first-served basis. Pre-registration must be submitted two weeks prior to event.

The chair of the Maggie Allesee
Department of Dance in the College of Fine Arts at Wayne State University Eva’s
primary research is in education, pedagogy, teaching methodology and dance
science. Her courses in Dance Kinesiology and Movement Analysis reflect her
interest in the integration of body and mind conditioning for dancers while
integrating Pilates and Gyrokinesis. A fully certified STOTT PILATES Instructor
Trainer, Eva was recently named a Lead Instructor Trainer for Stott Pilates.
She has also achieved Level 1 Certification in the GYROTONIC® method and
apprentice level in the GYROKINESIS® method. Eva is a dancer, choreographer,
gifted professor and mentor to new STOTT PILATES instructors at Equilibrium.
INTENSIVE REFORMER COURSE (50
This course teaches you to design and lead the Level 1 Essential
and Intermediate STOTT PILATES reformer repertoire for personal or group
training settings for a range of clients.
You will leave with a solid foundation and required skills to develop
effective and motivating Pilates Reformer programs.

This course will teach you functional exercises to develop core
strength against spring resistance in a variety of positions including sitting,
standing and side-lying. You will also learn how the split-pedal option
transforms exercises by challenging bilateral, unilateral and reciprocal
strength. By applying the STOTT PILATES Five Basic Principles to all of the
exercises you will better understand the movement essence and exercise goals,
proper execution and muscle activation.
