Sleeping Beauty
A fresh, vivid retelling of the timeless ballet to awaken all our beliefs in the ability of love and determination to overcome any obstacle.

The Choreographer

Travis Bradley, an innovative choreographer, has danced with Ballet Memphis since 2004. He began exploring choreography with his pas de deux for Interiorworks, creating Amore Ascenti in 2005, Bare in 2006 and Why in 2007. Travis also created Vivaldi Sweet for the dessert portion of Connections: Food in 2007, Belong for Abundance: Art in Motion, inspired by a lock and key from the National Ornamental Metal Museum, and The Ugly Duckling for Connections: Puppets. He has performed many memorable roles for Ballet Memphis, such as Romeo in Romeo and Juliet and The Prince in Beauty and the Beast. A Mechanicsville, Va., native, Travis began his training at Richmond Ballet, The Harid Conservatory and Houston Ballet’s Ben Stevenson Academy.
