Hands, heads, hearts, and of course, feet - three new pieces in one amazingly intimate performance. With work from acclaimed choreographer Julia Adam and a collaboration with the University of Memphis Steppers.
The Venue
This special Connections series event will be the first experienced in a new configuration in our studios. If you've ever been to our Interiorworks series each May, you already know how close you feel to the dancers, but now we're opening that up even more - turning the seating sideways to allow even more people to get closer to the action. You will not be disappointed! Click here for directions to our award-winning studios.
The Choreographers
We're so pleased to welcome back to Ballet Memphis renowned choreographer Julia Adam. Julia worked with us on our first Abundance series, presented in The Orpheum in Spring 2008, and has choreographed pieces for our Memphis Project works based on the writings of Eudora Welty.
Our own Steven McMahon, choreographic associate and company dancer, will also be contributing an original work for this performance. Steven starts this season for us for a new short work for Connections: Food, followed closely on its heels by a restaging of his much-lauded Wizard of Oz.
Tickets
Tickets are $40 and $25 for both shows and are available online or by calling our box office at 737-7322.
